Well, it's Foto Friday, and it's Fashion Week here in New York. So:
This is the entrance to the tent in Bryant Park where all the big fashion houses have their runway shows. I happened to be working with a client around the corner and went to the park to eat lunch.
Notice all the beautiful hangers on! There are lots of people milling around at events like these, looking like they're waiting to be "discovered."
Bonus shot:
This was a very exciting moment for the gathered crowd of photographers. This woman came out of the pavilion, stopped, held up this card (which said something about fur) and made a brief statement. Then she strode off with paparazzi in pursuit. Someone kept shouting, "Heather. Heather." I asked a TV cameraman: "who was that?" He said, "I don't know, I just shoot 'em."
Fame, like all else, is fleeting in New York.
UPDATE: One of my readers says this is Heather Mills, aka Mrs. Paul McCartney. Can we get validation of that? In case you hadn't noticed, I'm really bad at the whole, "who's that?" celebrity thing!
UPDATE DEUX: One of my good friends, an infallible celebrity identifier, has confirmed that this is, indeed, Heather Mills McCartney! Like they say in The Bronx, "who knew?"

Yo, is that Paul McCartney's wife? The Heather-model-with-the-one-leg-who's-also-friends-with-Pam-Anderson-and-the-PETA-people?

Ah, I knew one of my esteemed readers would identify her for me!
Thank you, Blaugra!
