Friday. Wow, I missed posting a foto last week and it bugged me all week.
Anyway, here's one I liked. I met a friend for a drink in a midtown Manhattan hotel bar a few weeks ago. First time I'd been there. Heading for the restroom, I came upon this:
Those plates are designed and produced by the great Milanese artist and china-maker, Pietro Fornasetti. Fornasetti's china is whimsical, insightful, elegant and, most of all, fun. Coming upon this set of eight led to one of those wonderful surprising moments that only beautifully designed objects can provide.
What a treat.
Have a great weekend, while we construct an ark here in Connecticut!

Yeah, it just cleared up from raining like crazy around here in Chicago. Um, Fornesetti also produced some bedsheets at one point, early 90's I think, they were super cool.
