You may have noticed a new look here at The TrueTalk Blog. Yup, this week we put a new coat of paint on this two-year old (as of May 20th) effort.
But that's not all we did.
Today we've also re-launched our company website. When TrueTalk first went online in 2001, we did what most companies did: we put up some brochureware and left it at that.
Well, the ensuing five years have certainly changed things, so we've decided to get a lot more interactive. If you head over to the site, you'll see some articles on us and our work.
You'll also see two previews of upcoming publications.
First, you'll see a teaser for a case study we're writing about what we think is a particularly interesting client engagement. That PDF file should be available soon, and if you subscribe to the page (click the "Subscribe to the RSS Feed" button at the bottom of the "Concepts" column) you'll be notified when it's ready.
Second, in the lower left corner of the homepage you'll see an announcement of the upcoming launch of our new ebook, "Work Different: Design For The Rest of Us." This is an exciting project we've been working on for months. More details very shortly.
We'll regularly be posting articles about our work and topics of interest on the website. Usually, we'll put shorter ideas here on the blog...maybe even things that are a little further afield (!) than the material on the website.
The website will also be interactive. We'll be soliciting your comments on ideas we're working on there...hopefully developing the capacity for more in-depth conversations than encouraged by the blog format. Oh, and you'll also get to hear much more from my (really not so silent in non-blog life) partner, Peggy Kelston. Not only is Peggy a great business partner, she's a terrific consultant who passionately works with her clients everyday to make their organizations more successful. Thanks, Peg...I couldn't do it without you.
The blog and website were re-designed with the patient assistance of Howard Mann and his team at Dig Business. That relationship is a perfect example of the power of blogging. Johnnie Moore introduced Howard and I on one of his "'cross the pond" trips. We started talking and saw some great mutual opportunities. Thanks, Johnnie. And, thank you, Howard. Like Doc says: "the real killer app is relationships."
As usual, we're interested in your thoughts about the blog re-design, the website, or anything else that comes to mind. Thanks for helping to make the last two years so enjoyable and productive.
