My friend Johnnie Moore "tagged" me with the Five Things meme. Don't know what this is? Bloggers tell five things most people don't know about them and then tag five others to do the same.
Think of it as Amway with a tinge of embarrassment!
Anyway, here goes:
- I can't drive a stick shift.
- My 17-year-older brother was a Bronx cop. I grew up around cops and loved their camaraderie, unflappable worldview and profane sense of humor.
- I love Jif Extra-Chunky peanut butter.
- I've never read The Catcher In The Rye.
- My middle name is Laurence. It is spelled with a U and not a W because my mother wanted to be sure that no one thought she'd named me after the Massachusetts town to which her family emigrated after leaving Sicily.
Well...that's it!

Tom, thanks for the tag! Someone beat you to the "touch".
I was hoping you were going to share the song you liked to sing the most when you use to "croon" on the street corners of the Bronx the guys.
And I am with you on Jif Extra-Chunky peanut butter!
Keep creating,
Mike

Great tidbit on the Laurence spelling. Definitely a city you DON'T want to be named after.
You and me both on the stick shift!

Ha! I, on the other hand, have trouble with automatic, and feel more 'secure' with a stick shift. btw, done the 5 things, now that I can comment here again, couldn't trackback, sorry!
