At least two UCLA Medical Center employees will be fired for snooping on Britney Spears' medical records. The didn't get to the psych record, but the fact that they were looking at things they shouldn't have been is proof enough of the kind of madness that overtakes people in a celebrity-fueled culture. The distortive power of fame is so pervasive that it gets even the most level-headed people to act irresponsibly. Be careful what you wish for...

Well the amount of cash the trashy magazines will pay for exclusive stuff is very tempting for medical professionals. Just watch "Dirt" on FX Network and you'll know what I mean!

It unfortuante the degree and extent to which some people will go to dig up dirt on celebrities. But considering how hungry the public seems to be for this information, it's not really a suprise. There is money to be made from this information, no matter how cruel (or even trivial) this might seem to most people: tabloids feed on this material.
